 According to Stevie Nicks' social media, she will be on Saturday Night Live on October 12, 2024. 

Christine McVie Passes Away at 79

 The following was posted by Christine McVie's social media:

"On behalf of Christine McVie’s family, it is with a heavy heart we are informing you of Christine’s death. She passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, November 30th 2022, following a short illness. She was in the company of her family. We kindly ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this extremely painful time, and we would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally. RIP Christine McVie.”

We are devastated. Our love and prayers go out to her family and friends. Of course, we fans all around the world are grieving as well, and grateful for the gift of music she gave us for so many years.

Fan Forum Deleted by Tapatalk

 It grieves my heart to say that the BuckinghamNicks.net fan forum was deleted by Tapatalk, which purchased the company that hosted it and proceeded to delete it due to inactivity. 

While it had indeed been inactive for quite some time, it was a wonderful archive of the excitement surrounding the release of the Say You Will album and the ensuing tour, containing detailed reviews from a host of cities around the world. 

Plus, it was just a great collection of conversations with friends from a time in my life of which I have very fond memories, so long ago now. 

Raise a glass and shed a tear. I know I will.

Lindsey Buckingham announced to play at 2020 Beale Street Music Festival!

Exciting news! Lindsey Buckingham has been announced as part of the 2020 Beale Street Music Festival Lineup!

The festival takes place the weekend of May 1-3 (the performance schedule has not been released). Tickets are on sale now - check out the event site!

Lindsey Buckingham recovering from open heart surgery

Per Kristen Buckingham, as posted on his official social media pages:

"I am sad to say that late last week Lindsey underwent emergency open heart surgery. He is now recuperating at home and each day he is stronger than the last. While he and his heart are doing well, the surgery resulted in vocal cord damage. While it is is unclear if this damage is permanent, we are hopeful it is not.

This past year has been a very stressful and difficult year for our family to say the least. But despite all this, our gratitude for life trumps all obstacles we have faced at this moment. We feel so fortunate he’s alive. As does he. He looks forward to recovery and putting this behind him. Needless to say, all touring and shows currently scheduled have been put on pause for the moment as he gathers the strength to heal completely.

Our family thought it important to share what’s happening with Lindsey with the hope that inspires someone else to seek preventative care. Lindsey’s family has a history of heart issues, having lost both his father at 56 and his brother at 46 to heart related illness. If anyone is experiencing even the mildest of symptoms we encourage you to seek the care of a physician.

We are so thankful for the kind and generous love given by the people surrounding Lindsey, me and our kids throughout this emotional time. We can’t thank you enough for all you did for our family. We will never forget you. XO

Stevie Nicks Making Album called "24 Karat Gold"

According to Billboard.com among others, Stevie is revisiting some of her demos and unreleased songs from over the years and releasing newly recorded, polished versions of them on an album entitled 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault.  Dave Stewart is her co-producer and things have been moving quickly. The album's tentative release date is October.

So exciting! I hope it comes with lyrics!

Stevie Nicks pays tribute to Linda Ronstadt at Hall of Fame

Stevie Nicks joins Glenn Frey, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, and Carrie Underwood in an all-star tribute to Linda Ronstadt. It's to celebrate her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, since Ronstadt herself could not be there. She is performing "It's So Easy" and "When Will I Be Loved."  They perform during the induction ceremony at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Fleetwood Mac is back with Christine McVie!

It's all over the news, but I figured I'd announce it here, too!  In a move we thought would never happen, Christine McVie has rejoined Fleetwood Mac. They've announced North American dates with presumably more to come. Check them out on FleetwoodMac.com - I've also provided a list on the sidebar.  New music in the works, too, we hope...

According to tasteofcountry.com, Stevie will pair up with Lady Antebellum on the song "Golden" at the ACM Awards, and you can buy a version of the song featuring her on iTunes.

Lindsey plays with Nine Inch Nails and QOTSA at Grammys

Lindsey Buckingham is joining Nine Inch Nails and the Queens of the Stone Age to perform at the Grammys. Fans may remember that Lindsey appeared on the Nine Inch Nails album Hesitation Marks, contributing to the songs "Copy of A," "In Two," and "While I'm Still Here." You can purchase that album on the band's official site.
